Police Seek Commercial Burglary Suspect in Oxford

Police are investigating a convenience store burglary in Oxford.

State police say on Saturday around 1:31 a.m. the Oxford police responded to a burglary alarm at the Double R. Inc. Mobil Convenience Store at 1 Oxford Road. When they arrived they found damage to the drive-thru window. Officers searched the area but did not find any suspects.

Surveillance video shows a suspect, described as a male with a dark beard wearing a dark-colored baseball hat, dark t-shirt, light-colored shorts, white socks and low hiking/work boot type shoes. He also wore a white piece of fabric around his neck.

It appears the suspect walked from the Seymour town line across Mountain Road toward the Mobil before attempting to enter the store through a drive-thru window.
