Police Seek Man Who Spoke With Crash Victim

Moments before he was killed, Arthur Walker spoke with someone in a parking lot.

Soon before Arthur Walker was struck by a car on Route 6 in Farmington last week and killed, he had a brief conversation with a man in a nearby parking lot, police said, and they are looking for that man.

Walker, 83, of Southington, parked his car on Route 6, near Hyde Road, just before 6 a.m. on that Wednesday morning, crossed Route 6 and was hit by another car, at 5:54 a.m police said.

Police have been trying to determine why Walker got out of the car.

Through their investigation, police have learned that Walker had a brief conversation with a man in the parking lot of the Global Gas Station/Dunkin Donuts, AT 6 Colt Highway, sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 5:36 a.m., police said.

Police want the unidentified man to call Sergeant Walzak or Officer Stone at 860-675-2400.

Anyone else with information is asked to call as well.
