The family business has cost a Bristol family quite a bit of money and a trip to the judge.
The business? Growing pot -- and mom, dad and their son were involved, according to police.
Bristol police and the Narcotics Enforcement Team paid a little visit to the Haig Avenue home Friday and walked out with three arrests and $15,000 worth of marijuana, police said.
Several rooms inside the house had been converted for the purpose of growing marijuana, police said.
Detectives seized 35 large marijuana plants, each about five-feet tall. They also took 13 plants averaging two- to three-feet tall, marijuana starter trays, grow lights, timers, fertilizer, seeds, packaging materials, a scale, suspected drug profit money, processed marijuana and other assorted drug paraphernalia items.
Police arrested Reginald Reynolds, 61, Christine Reynolds, 51, and Lee Reynolds, 28. They were charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, cultivation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a drug factory.
All were released on $25,000 surety bonds. They will appear in Bristol Superior Court 17 on March 2.
