Stonington police are investigating as many as ten cases of animals with rabies in the past two weeks.
The animals have included raccoons, foxes, skunks and a cat, and all have either been suspected of having rabies, or tested positive for the disease, police said. Most of the cases have been in the Mystic area.
Animal Control Officers are warning residents to take precautions and be alert. No people have been infected.
