Reward in Alpaca Killings

A $13,000 reward is offered for info about alpaca killings.

The owner of an alpaca farm in Essex is hoping that increasing a reward for information in the deaths of four of his alpacas will help him find the killer.

The animals were found dead in their pen in the Ivoryton section of Essex on Dec. 23. The animals appeared to have been stabbed.

George MacLauchian, owner of the Applesauce Acres alpaca farm on Bushy Hill Road, told the Middletown Press that he was able to up the reward to $13,000 after receiving donations.

State police said they are investigating a few leads in the brutal attack.
