Route 75 Reopens in Windsor Locks

Route 75 in Windsor Locks was closed for more than 12 hours between Elm Street and Halfway House Road after lightning struck a pole on Monday morning.

There was a transformer in the roadway and wires down, according to police.

Crews worked throughout the day to replace the transformer and the electrical pole that were damaged.

The road reopened just before 8 p.m., according to the Department of Transportation.
