School Was Evacuated After Student Found Note Mentioning Bomb

Dogs were brought in and found nothing.

Students were evacuated from Thomaston High School on Wednesday afternoon after a student found a note that mentioned a bomb.

Supt. Lynda Mitchell said the assistant principal reported the incident at 1:15 p.m. after a student found a note on the floor of a hallway.

High school staff immediately contacted the police and fire department and the bomb squad, who arrived at the school within three minutes. Several bomb sniffing dogs were brought in and found nothing.

School officials called for 11 buses to evacuate all students.
