Search Firm Wants Input in Choosing Police Chief

Residents are asked to weigh in on qualities they want in a chief and issues to focus on.

Hartford is in search of a new police chief and the search firm helping in the selection process wants input from residents.

Strategic Policy Partnership wants to know what issues residents feel the new chief should focus on, as well as qualities and characteristics residents want in a new chief.

Information provided would be kept confidential and would not be given to accessible to any city officials or employees, according to the Strategic Policy Partnership.

The group is made up of public safety and public policy experts who help police and government agencies with policing strategy development and personnel selection.
