See ‘In the Heights’ This Summer at Playhouse on Park

    Years before Lin-Manuel Miranda became a national celebrity for “Hamilton,” his first Broadway musical, “In the Heights,” won several Tony Awards and that show opens at Playhouse on Park in West Hartford this summer

    Opening night for “In The Heights” is June 15 and the show runs through July 29.  

    Miranda created the musical during his sophomore year at Wesleyan University in Middletown.  

    A Tuesday matinee is planned for June 26 at 2 p.m. and all tickets are $22.50. 

    Two open mic nights scheduled for June 23 and July 21.

    A Young Professionals Night Out is planned for Thursday, June 28 at 6 p.m. For $20, young professionals from 21 to 35 can enjoy a pre-show reception and take in the show. The event includes wine and appetizers. 

    Tickets for “In the Heights” range from $40-$50 and student, senior and Let's Go Arts discounts are available.
