A serious crash closed the northbound side of Route 9 in Berlin on Monday afternoon.
The accident happened by Exit 21, according to state police.
It involved a tractor trailer and another vehicle, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
The highway reopened around 5 p.m.
