A 23-year-old South Windsor man was badly injured in a crash on Route 6 in North Windham near the airport on Wednesday morning.
Police said the driver, Shawn Bushey, missed a turn while going west on Boston Post Road around 12:14 a.m., went off the road and onto grass before hitting two posts near the Windham Airport fence.
LifeStar flew him to Hartford Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
A wrecker responded to the scene and towed Bushey's car.
No additional information was immediately available.
