Davidson Hall at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain is closed on Wednesday and all classes and events have been canceled after a sewage line issue in the basement caused sewage to back up in the bathrooms of the building.
Janice Palmer, of the university’s media relations office, said they discovered the problem at 5 a.m. and called Clean Harbors to clean up the spill.
Only employees deemed essential were expected to report, according to the school.
