Sex Assault Reported at Hartford High

Little information has been reported.

Hartford police are investigating a report of a sexual assault at Hartford Public High School after classes ended on Tuesday.

The victim is under 18, according to police.

Hartford police sources said security camera footage shows three males pulling a female into the school bathroom and sexually assaulting her.

Sources also said all three have been identified. Police are in the process of getting warrants and could make arrests as early as Wednesday afternoon.

This happened on Tuesday afternoon, sources said, and there might have been an early junior varsity basketball game.

Supt. Christina Kishimoto released a short statement on Wednesday afternoon.

"School officials dealt appropriately with the situation. They immediately turned the matter over to the Hartford Police Department for an investigation and are cooperating fully," she wrote. "Although we do not want to appear insensitive, it is our primary responsibility to protect the safety and confidentiality of our students while the proper authorities sort out the facts."

The Juvenile and Major Crimes divisions of Hartford Police are investigating and police said they are getting full cooperation from the Board of Education.
