Sisters Killed in Crash Identified

Both women died of smoke inhalation.

State Police Tuesday identified the two sisters from Stratford killed in a fiery car crash on the Merritt Parkway Saturday.

Chantel Osorio, 24, and her sister, 22-year-old Tiffany Osorio were killed when their car veered off the parkway in Fairfield. The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

The car, which was being driven by Chantel Osorio, struck a tree, spun around and hit a second tree before bursting into flames, according to police. Both women died in the fire.

Tiffany Osorio celebrated her birthday the day before the accident.

The two were on their way home from New York City when the crash happened.

The medical examiner said both women died of smoke inhalation.
