Snow, Ice Cause Problems on Roads

As a storm brought more snow to Connecticut, state police responded to numerous accidents Saturday.

Roads were still coated with snow and some ice on Sunday with slippery conditions on many secondary roads.

Most of the road troubles came on Saturday. State police from the Troop H barracks in Hartford said that they responded to numerous crashes afternoon into evening.

A car veered off the roadway and was stuck in the snowy median late afternoon on Route 9 in West Hartford near Corbins Corner.

Snow and a possible mix of freezing rain later in the evening is expected to coat the roads with ice, causing slippery conditions.
