South Windsor Loses Retired Member of the Force

Retired Canine passes away

The South Windsor police department is mourning the loss of a retired police dog.

Boris, a 9-year old German Shepard that served the department from July 2004 to December 2008, died on Wednesday.
Boris and his handler, Agent Glenn Buonanducci, graduated from the Connecticut State Police 113th Canine Training Troop and also from the 122nd Canine Training Troop for Narcotics Detection dogs.
Boris was credited with finding and apprehending suspects, locating missing people and evidence.

Boris lived with Agent Buonanducci and his family while working for the South Windsor police department and during his retirement.
