An alert police officer and his K9 are credited with stopping a burglary in progress.
Early Monday morning, Officer John Mahon spotted a man walking behind the Mobil gas station in Marion Avenue.
After he stopped he found the front door of the business was broken, and he spotted a large garbage bag and latex gloves outside the business.
Officer Mahon grabbed his K9 Gaston, who tracked two men to a wooded area behind the business. Those men, Marcus Boyce, 50, of Hartford, and Samuel Marshall, Jr., 47, of Manchester were arrested.
Both men face burglary charges.
