State Trooper Arrested

Sgt. Kevin Boulier was arraigned Tuesday in New Haven Superior Court.

A Connecticut state trooper who was arrested on Monday night and charged with burglary, computer crimes and breach of peace has been suspended from his job.

Kevin Boulier, a sergeant with Troop H in Hartford, was arraigned on Tuesday in New Haven Superior Court.

Boulier was released on Monday on a promise to appear in court.

He has been assigned to non-police duties and was ordered to have no contact with members of the public, state police said.

“His police powers have been suspended," spokesman Lt. Paul Vance said.

Few details are being released about the alleged crime but the charges "have something to do with a former female friend," Vance added.

An internal affairs investigation is scheduled to take place.

According to court records, the disorderly conduct and computer crime allegations stem from an incident on July 1, 2011 and the burglary allegations stem from an incident on April 29, 2010.
