Stray Bullet Goes Through Window of Bridgeport School

Officials in Connecticut's largest city say a bullet went through the window of an elementary school but no children were hurt.

The stray bullet went through a window at Bridgeport's Dunbar Elementary School just after 8 a.m. Monday.

Children were arriving for the day and the school was briefly locked down.

Police say the bullet was fired by an 18-year-old man aiming for his mother's boyfriend because he was upset with him. He fired about 200 feet from the school.

The suspect, Geijon Williams, faces several charges including attempted first-degree assault and risk of injury to a child.

Williams' case wasn't yet listed in state online judicial records and it could not immediately be determined if he has a lawyer.
