Students Evaluated After Bus Crash

Traffic is delayed and some Hartford Magnet Middle School students have been taken to a hospital for evaluation Thursday morning after their school bus was rear-ended on Interstate 91 Southbound in Hartford.

The bus was getting off the highway at Exit 29A around 8 a.m. when another vehicle struck the bus, Dave Media, spokesman for Hartford Public Schools, said.

No injuries were reported, but the students were taken to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center for evaluation. Authorities are working on cleaning up a fuel spill.

Expect delays on I-91 South. Traffic is backed up to exit 37 in Windsor and the right lane is closed in Hartford, according to the state Department of Transportation.
