    A truck on its side is causing traffic problems in South Windsor.

    Westbound traffic on Sullivan Avenue in South Windsor is being re-routed with minor to moderate delays after a tractor trailer crash on Thursday morning. 

    The driver of a tractor-trailer rig carting mulch failed to negotiate a turn at the intersection of Sullivan Avenue and Ayers Road around 8 a.m. on Thursday, according to South Windsor police, and the rig is presently resting on its side.

    Police said no injuries are reported and no other vehicles were involved. 

    Local police, a regional accident team, fire apparatus, state DOT and wreckers remain at the scene investigating and are attempting to upright the rig. 

    Eastbound traffic on Sullivan Avenue is intermittently being allowed to travel the highway. 

    Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

    Police do not have an estimated time for cleanup.
