Another man, identified as Samuel Diaz, 19, of Hartford, was hiding behind a tree and also ran off, police said. Investigators later caught up with him, but he resisted. Officers shot him with a stun gun and took him into custody.

Diaz was charged with four counts conspiracy to commit burglary, three counts of criminal attempt burglary, larceny in the sixth degree and Interfering with an officer.

He was held on a $20,000 surety bond.
