The woman accused of killing two Greenwich librarians during a drunken hit-and-run is becoming a frequent guest of Denver police.
Sandra Lee Jacobson, 40, of Colorado was arrested again, Greenwich Time reports. Yes, that's the third time.
This time it’s part of the city's district attorney’s plan to inflate bail for the woman whose criminal record includes as least one prior DUI, Greenwich Time reports.
Jacobson is accused of sideswiping a taxicab carrying Kathryn Krasniewicz, 54, and Kate McClelland, 71, to Denver International Airport, as they heading home from a library conference on Jan 28. The two women from Perrot Memorial Library were ejected from the car as it rolled down an embankment.
Last week, Jacobson was charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. She was arrested again over the weekend, accused of driving with a suspended license.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey cited many blemishes on Jacobson’s record, including driving on a suspended license at the time of the Jan. 28 accident, a driving under the influence conviction in June 2007, and convictions for separate incidents, Greenwich Time reports.
One of those convictions involved careless driving resulting in injury or death, the paper reports. The other involves driving 20 mph over the speed limit.
