Manchester police used a stun gun on a suspected burglar after he sped toward an officer who was trying to apprehend him early Thursday morning, police said.
Manchester police responded to a car burglary in the area of 42 Maple Street around 4 a.m. on Thursday to investigate a man looking into unlocked cars.
When officers arrived, they found Aaron Malmgren, 21, inside a vehicle with the engine running, police said.
When officers approached him, Malmgren sped through the parking lot to get away, police said.
He started backing up when he reached the end of the lot, heading straight for a police officer who was trying to stop him, police said.
The officer jumped out of the way and Malmgren crashed into a parked car.
Officers then approached and used a stun gun on Malmgren, who was again trying to get away, police said.

After taking him into custody, Malmgren was charged him with six counts of third-degree burglary, first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree larceny, attempted assault on a police officer, interfering with police, sixth-degree larceny, second-degree criminal trover and reckless driving.
He was held on a $25,000 cash/surety bond and was appeared in court on Thursday.
