Suspects Busted in Theft Spree

Four Hamden teens have been arrested in connection with a three-month crime spree and are accused of stealing from cars.

Police arrested Michael Zaccarino, 18, Joseph Civitelli, 19, Aaron Rudd, 20, and a 17-year-old who is not being named because he is a minor.

They are suspected in 105 larcenies from motor vehicles between April 5 and July 29.

Police say the suspects stole GPS navigation systems, cell phones and other electronic equipment from cars in the Spring Glen section of town. All the thefts happened overnight, police said.

Rudd is also accused of throwing feces on the walls and floor of the cell block area and was also charged with criminal mischief.

The four are due in court Dec. 12.
