A New London teacher has resigned after her arrest for possession of crack cocaine, according to district Superintendent Christopher Clouet.
Alison Sposato, 34, who teaches at the Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School, was arrested over the weekend in Westerly, R.I.
Sposato has reportedly been teaching English as a Second Language at the middle school since August.
"I think she looked at what the alternatives were and decided that was the best," Clouet told the Associated Press.
