Teen Posts Trashcan Havoc on Facebook: Cops

Watertown police have arrested a 19-year-old man after finding video on Facebook showing two people driving into trashcans in a wealthy section of town.

Police were able to identify Dylan Muscio, 19, of Watertown through a video posted on Facebook.

The damage happened in a neighborhood off Straits Turnpike, near where Muscio lives.

"We were just driving around, my boy was like 'oh I saw this thing on TV about a dude going around hitting trash cans,'" Muscio said Thursday.

His friend shot cell phone video as the pair played the prank.  It was that video that led police to Muscio.

"They were like 'come down to the station'. They played the video. Wow, they were on my page," Muscio said.

Muscio's mother said she tried to keep an eye on him.  "As a parent I would say 'monitor, monitor, monitor.' But on the other hand, when they're 17, 18, 19, 20 years old, they're going to do what they want to do."

Muscio was charged with reckless driving, third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and two counts of failure to obey a stop sign.  The passenger was not charged.

"I hope people learn from this because it's not a joke," Muscio said.  "Always think before you do anything."
