A 15-year-old student was arrested Thursday after police say he was overheard threatening to "shoot up" Watertown High School.
The school's principal called police after receiving a message from a parent who said her son overheard another student threatening to "shoot up the school" and then take his own life.
Police began an investigation and took the student accused of making the threat into custody around 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Due to the nature of the threat, a judge signed an order allowing police to keep the teen in custody until a probable causing hearing is held.
It was not clear as to when that hearing will be conducted.
