A 16-year-old boy is in the hospital to be treated for serious injuries after his scooter hit a car in New Britain on Wednesday night.
The teen was riding a scooter when he tried to make a U-turn at East and East Main streets just after 9 p.m. and hit a car, according to police.
He was taken to St Francis Hospital in Hartford and is expected to survive.
Police are investigating. No charges have been filed.
