Teens Attack Male in Scooter Robbery Near New Haven Methadone Clinic

A group of teenagers attacked a person and stole the victim's scooter near a methadone clinic in New Haven late Saturday morning, police said.

Officers responded to the methadone clinic at 495 Congress Avenue  at 11:56 a.m. on Saturday to investigate reports of a stolen scooter.

The victim told police a group of four teenagers between 16 and 19 grabbed his throat, punched the back of his head and knocked him down before robbing him of his scooter.

Two of the teens left on his scooter and the other two ran from the scene. The scooter is decorated with an American flag on a pole and is red.

The main person who assaulted him was wearing a white shirt and was thin, the victim told police. All of the robbers remain at large and police are looking for them.

The victim was not seriously hurt, police said.
