Test Drive and Dash

Norwich police have arrested the man they said has been stealing cars during test drives in Eastern Connecticut.

But the best part is how police say Johnathon Horner, 28, was stealing the cars. He would arrive at a dealership in a stolen vehicle, then ask to test drive a car on the lot.  Once in the car, Horner would lock the door and drive off, leaving the other stolen car at the dealership, police told the Norwich Bulletin.

Horner is charged with first-degree larceny and theft of a marker plate.

Police arrested Horner after they recovered a 2006 Honda Civic stolen from a Groton car dealership on May 1, the paper reported.
