Donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital have disappeared from three Dunkin’ Donuts in North Haven in the past few days and police are trying to find the person stealing them.
North Haven police released surveillance video that shows a man using a tool to cut a cable used to secure a donation box into which people have placed money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
The man entered one of the shops carrying a dark bag and placed it on the floor. When the attendant turned to fill an order, he cut the cable securing the box, placed the donation box in the bag and left the shop, police said.
Police are investigating similar occurrences at two other Dunkin’ Donuts in North Haven.
