Suspect in Vandalism at West Hartford Elementary School Comes Forward

West Hartford police released video Monday of a person of interest after someone posted threats directed at President Donald Trump at Morley Elementary School in West Hartford Thursday. On Tuesday, authorities said a suspect has come forward.

The video showed a balding man in a Red Sox shirt riding a mountain bike on the property on Bretton Road. By his side was a small brown and white mix-breed dog with him.

After releasing the images, police received tips from the public. The suspect also called police after seeing his picture on the news, according to police.

Several areas were damaged with anti-Trump writings and threats directed at the president, according to a news release from police.

Police said a warrant is being prepared and they will later release the suspect's name.
