Tombs at Zion Hill Cemetery Vandalized

Tombstones were desecrated by vandals on Wednesday afternoon.

    Hartford police are searching for vandals who overturned and spray-painted dozens of tombstones.

    More than 30 tombstones have been vandalized at Zion Hill Cemetery, according to officials.

    Hartford police went to investigate Zion Hill Cemetery at 548 Zion St. on Wednesday afternoon after vandals spraypainted tombstones and knocked them over.

    "This incident appears to be random property damage and not a hate crime," Sgt. Doyle, spokesman for Hartford police, said. 

    Authorities are seeking the public's help to find out who is responsible for vandalizing the cemetery.
