Police in wealthy Greenwich, Connecticut town are urging residents not to leave their keys inside their vehicles after a rash of Range Rover thefts, including Tommy Hilfiger’s.
The fashion designer is among the Greenwich residents who have had their Range Rovers stolen in recent months. Hilfiger was targeted in late June.
Police Lt. Kraig Gray said the theft from Hilfiger's mansion fit the pattern of several other cases in which keys were left inside unlocked, unattended vehicles.
Gray said Range Rovers and other vehicles have been stolen from driveways and also from public parking spots in the town center.
Greenwich is one of the region's most affluent towns.
