A tree came down on a house in Mansfield Thursday morning as the family was home.
The tree came down on Meadowbrook Lane around 7:15 a.m. and the three members of the Bacon family who were home at the time were not injured.
Paul Bacon, who was getting ready for work at the time, said the power went out and he heard what sounded like thunder on top of the house. But thunder did not create the sound, the tree coming down did.
The tree damaged the outside of the house and the three vehicles in the driveway.
Officials said the weather did not bring down the tree.
