Tremors from Small Earthquake Felt on Shoreline

A small earthquake shook part of Suffolk County, New York today -- with the quake logging 3.9 on the Richter scale and there are reports of people feeling tremors in across Connecticut and Rhode Island.

The quake hit around 10:45 a.m. EDT 137 miles from Bridgeport, according to the U.S. Geological Survey

People from around the area, especially along the shoreline, report feeling the tremors.  

There were no immediate reports of damage.

The depth was about 4.1 miles, according to the US Geological Survey.
