A Wallingford man was killed in a tractor-trailer crash on I-395 southbound in Norwich Monday.
Police said 61-year-old Robert Neubig was driving a tractor-trailer hauling an over height trailer near exit 11 around 12:19 p.m. According to police, the trailer hit an overpass, causing Neubig to lose control. The vehicle rolled onto its side and the tractor portion caught fire.
Neubig was killed in the crash.
The highway was closed by Exit 14 for hours, according to state police. One lane of the northbound side was also closed, as is Route 2 East to I-395 south, police said.
