Two-Alarm Forces Family From Home in Orange

A family from Orange will have to find somewhere else to stay after a two-alarm fire caused heavy damage to their home on the eve of Thanksgiving.

Emergency crews were called to 129 Russell Avenue after flames broke out in the dining room just before 7 p.m., according to Orange Fire Capt. Mark Osinski.

One resident was hospitalized as a precaution but no other injuries were reported. Osinski said the home suffered major smoke and water damage and is unlivable.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the Orange fire marshal's office has been called to the scene.

Osinski said the Red Cross has offered to help provide for the family.
