2 Dead in Hartford Shooting

A 19-year-old man and a 30-year-old man are both dead after a shooting in Hartford on Monday night.

The shooting happened in the area of 124 and 128 Clark Street around 5 p.m. and both victims arrived at the hospital in private vehicles.

Police have identified the 19-year-old as Kwante Feliciano, of Hartford. He was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at 5:24 p.m.

The 30-year-old male is Kelly Cooper, of Hartford. He was on life support, in critical condition, after being shot in the head, police said, but he was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police do not yet know the motive yet behind the shooting, but do not think this was a random act.

The shooter, described as 5-feet-6, 180 pounds, is still at large. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the shooting.

Cooper is the third homicide victim in Hartford this year.

The body of Sawarie Krichindath, 59, was discovered inside 76 Main Street on March 16. Police said she is the victim of a domestic-violence homicide and her boyfriend, Robert White, 52, of Hartford, was charged.
