A two-year-old boy who was struck by a car in New Canaan on Friday has died from his injuries, according to police.
Around 4 p.m. on Friday, police responded to Mill Road for a report of a child struck by a car. The child was transported to Norwalk Hospital and the car stayed on the scene.
The boy was first listed in critical condition after the accident. He later died.
Police say that the boy was struck when a vehicle was attempting to back out of the driveway. The car stayed on scene and the accident is under investigation.
