UConn: Recession hit the state last year

State projected to lose 40,000 jobs

If you felt like you've been living in a recession in Connecticut, you're not alone.

Economists at the University of Connecticut report the state has been in a recession for at least a year.

The Connecticut Center of Economic Analysis says the state and residents have done a good job coping with the recession.

Analysts project the state will lose 40,000 jobs in teh next two years.

The report says relatively small job loss and adjustments have prevented a major impact for Connecticut consumers.

The economists say that state and federal actions should prevent Connecticut residents from being hit too hard in these tough economic times.
