Uh-Oh! Meet With Boss After Dramatic Arrest

A state agency lawyer at the center of a dramatic arrest in East Hartford will be meeting with his boss Thursday and he might want to be on his best behavior.

The executive director and general counsel of the state Freedom of Information Commission, Colleen Murphy, says she plans to meet Thursday with agency attorney Henry Pawlowski Jr, presumably to discuss Pawlowski's dramatic arrest on Tuesday.

Pawlowski, 41, a member of the town's school board, fled from a car accident Tuesday, East Hartford police said. He said he will resign from the board, the Journal Inquirer reports.

He struggled with officers when they pulled him over, resulting in his being shot with a stun gun, bitten by a police dog and subdued with chemical spray.

Pawlowski did not return a call seeking comment. He is free on bond and is to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 26.
