Bah, Humbug! Hourly workers at Pratt & Whitney workers will get Christmas Eve off but will not get paid for it.
A company spokesperson said it reason for the unpaid day off is work reductions and it is designed to help prevent further job cuts.
The unpaid day off affects 1,000 of the company's 12,000 Connecticut employees.
Last week, the jet engine manufacturer laid off more than 300 workers.
