Would-be voters who failed to meet Connecticut's Nov. 1 registration deadline still have an opportunity to cast their ballot in this year's election.
State law allows people to sign up to vote on Election Day.
Secretary of the State Denise Merrill is urging people who want to register on Tuesday to show up at their local voter registration site as early as possible, warning there might be lines.
Those locations, which are not the same as the polling stations, will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Polling places also will close at 8 p.m. Locations of both local voter registration sites and polling places can be found at www.myvote.ct.gov.
