Ledyard police want help from the public as they investigate how three windows were broken in the Highlands neighborhood.
"There may have been more that people just weren't aware of," said Lt. Michael Finkelstein. "They may have found the objects in their house, around their house, may have some damage but are unsure about how it happened so we're trying to reach out to the public."
He has one metal ball with almost the circumference of a thumb nail in an evidence bag. It may be a youngster with a slingshot to blame, but it's cost each victim hundreds of dollars to replace their windows.
