Violent Threat Kept Students in New Britain School

A violent threat that one student made against another is kept kids at E.C. Goodwin Technical High School in New Britain well past dismissal.

State Police are investigating and searching the school, which was in lockdown until approximately 3:30 p.m.  Dismissal was scheduled for 2:05 p.m.

No weapons have been found and no one has been injured.  No one was injured.

Meanwhile, the Burr School in Hartford was on, what they call, a "lock in", as a result of a shooting near 266 Franklin Street in the city's South End.  Classes continued without interruption.  School was dismissed at 2:40 p.m.
