The Wallingford woman whose body was found in her condominium on Saturday afternoon was strangled, the medical examiner has determined.
Wallingford Police found Susan Mazzarella, 54, when they went to her home at the Hamlet Manor Complex on Danny's Way to conduct a welfare check around 12 p.m. Police said they do not believe this was a random act.
Over the weekend, the Wallingford Detective Bureau and State Police Major Crimes ruled her death a homicide. They are continuing to investigate. They ask anyone with information about the homicide to report it.
