More and more films are being made in Connecticut and you could help make it happen.

The state is once again offiering its film industry training program for Connecticut residents who are interested in working in the state's emerging film industry.

"The film industry has clearly found a home in Connecticut and our efforts to build a well-trained workforce right here will continue to strengthen the infrastructure the industry needs," Governor Rell said. "We are pleased that the course will again be taught by some of the top professionals in the film business."

Classes begin June 1 at two sites -  Middlesex Community College in Middletown and Quinnipiac University in Hamden.

The four-week long program is taught by professionals in the industry, according to Governor Rell's office.

Areas of specialization are: assistant directing, location management, production office coordination, script supervision, lighting and grip, camera, sound, props and set dressing, set construction and wardrobe.

At the end of the program, graduates will receive a certificate from state's Film Division.
