A water main break at the intersection of Albany Avenue and North Main Street in West Hartford caused headaches for drivers and area businesses Wednesday.
There was only one lane open east on Albany Avenue and one lane South on North Main Street as crews remained on scene for hours working to repair the issue.
MDC officials said the issue was caused by a leak on one of the gate valves at the intersection.
With temperatures in West Hartford below freezing Wednesday night, there was concern for icy conditions on the road. Crews put down salt and sand to prevent any major issues.
All repairs were complete by midnight and service was restored.
